To realize your potential, leave the beaten track

Being skilled or competent is obviously required in the work we perform on an everyday basis. We begin our career from a lower designation and based on our performance, we climb up the ladder of success.

Gaining confidence of the management, we begin to get handsome perks. Consequently, we also change our behavior towards our peers. People in the organisation unwillingly respect and flatter us, and sometimes we get blinded by pride.

These become hurdles in our path of learning and we get stuck in a particular place, thinking that we are accomplished enough. Self-gratification and pride makes us injudicious and unreasonable.

There is a well known saying that a frog knows nothing more than the pond it comfortably lives in. It just considers the limited area of the pond as its world. In the same way, we keep working in the same place with the same people around, having the same kind of work to perform daily. Although everything goes well for us, yet it creates obstacles in enhancing our skills.

In life, we should always be engaged in a learning process. As soon as we have nothing more to learn from a place, begin thinking of options. Go out and be challenged again.

Keep dreaming, Keep Walking and you will succeed

There are times when you reach the darkest phase of life and all efforts seem futile, the dreams seem impossible to reach. At times like these remember there will be light, for it is always the darkest before the morning light.

The mountains were not meant to be moved in a day, all you had to do was step right and hold tight. Don’t lose and walk that extra mile. Walk that extra mile for the dream is not out of sight, do not for a second believe that you will not be able to achieve it, live it and taste the success that you have yearned for, for the dream is so near. Don’t give up the glimmer of hope right now. This, my friend, is your time to shine bright.

Yes,you. You, who don’t believe in yourself and find yourself surrounded by the circle of doubt. You, who gets dissuaded by what people tell you or what they believe about your abilities. What do they know? Nothing.

Walk my friend, walk that extra mile, give your all. For this is your dream, only – to see and achieve, to live and breathe. Make these steps count, even if you fall, face obstacles or are ridiculed.

You may be ridiculed today, but you will be applauded tomorrow. Called a failure and a dreamer today, but will be a hero tomorrow. Set a precedent, my friend, for all those who still believe that their dreams are impossible to achieve, make them believe, yes they too have the light to be stars shinning bright.

Keep smiling and Be positive.

Hope you like this. Your suggestions and comments are welcomed

Life lessons from a baby giraffe

BABY giraffes never go to school. But they learn a very important lesson rather early in life. A lesson that all of us would do well to remember. The birth of a baby giraffe is quite an earth-shaking event. The baby falls from its mother’s womb, some eight feet above the ground. It shrivels up and lies still, too weak to move.

The mother giraffe lovingly lowers her neck to smooch the baby giraffe. And then something incredible happens. She lifts her long leg and kicks the baby giraffe, sending it flying up in the air and tumbling down on the ground. As the baby lies curled up, the mother kicks the baby again. And again. Until the baby giraffe, still trembling and tired, pushes its limbs and for the first time learns to stand on its feet.

Happy to see the baby standing on its own feet, the mother giraffe comes over and gives it yet another kick. The baby giraffe falls one more time, but now quickly recovers and stands up. Mama Giraffe is delighted. She knows that her baby has learnt an important lesson: *Never mind how hard you fall, always remember to pick yourself up and get back on your feet*.

Why does the mother giraffe do this? She knows that lions and leopards love giraffe meat. So unless the baby giraffe quickly learns to stand and run with the pack it will have no chance of survival. Most of us though are not quite as lucky as baby giraffes. No one teaches us to stand up every time we fall. When we fail, when we are down, we just give up. No one kicks us out of our comfort zone to remind us that to survive and succeed, we need to learn to get back on our feet.

If you study the lives of successful people though, you will see a recurring pattern. Were they always successful in all they did? No. Did success come to them quick and easy? No, no! You will find that the common streak running through their lives is their ability to stand up every time they fall. The ability of the baby giraffe!

The road to success is never an easy one. There are several obstacles, and you are bound to fall sooner or later. You will hit a road block, you will taste failure. But success lies in being able to get up every time you fall. That’s a critical life skill. And it’s the habit of all successful people.

Learning to win in life is quite like learning to ride a bicycle. As you start to ride, you might fall and get bruised. It doesn’t matter. You need to get back up and continue to ride. Fall one more time? Get back up again. That’s all it takes. Learn to get back up every time you fall.

And just remember one more thing. Next time you find a friend or a parent kicking you, don’t get upset with them. Like the mother giraffe, they may only be trying to teach you one of life’s most important lessons. It doesn’t matter how many times you fall. What matters is your ability to pick yourself up and stand on your feet once again.

Be Positive 🙂

I’ll Be Happy When. . .

We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a baby, then another. Then we are frustrated that the kids aren’t old enough and we’ll be more content when they are. After that, we’re frustrated that we have teenagers to deal with. We will certainly be happy when they are out of that stage. We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our spouse gets his or her act together, when we get a nicer car, when we are able to go on a nice vacation or when we retire. The truth is there’s no better time to be happy than right now. If not now, when? Your life will always be filled with challenges.

It’s best to admit this to yourself and decide to be happy anyway. Happiness is the way. So, treasure every moment that you have and treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time with…and remember that time waits for no one.

So, stop waiting… Until your car or home is paid off.
Until you get a new car or home.
Until your kids leave the house.
Until you go back to school.
Until you finish school.
Until you lose 10 lbs.
Until you gain 10 lbs.
Until you get married.
Until you get a divorce.
Until you have kids.
Until you retire.
Until summer.
Until spring.
Until winter.
Until fall.
Until you die.

There is no better time than right now to be happy. Happiness is a journey, not a destination.

Your destiny is your own to seize

Whatever happens to you in life is for your good. If you analyse, you will find God’s grace hidden even in cruel and difficult situations. This is why the wise thank God while facing problems and take them as His blessings.

Without doubting his decision, they accept every happening and move on with it. The lord has placed you exactly where you should have been. You need to be there to balance some karma or to grow yourself. If you pass successfully through that situation, you will find yourself elevated to a higher position.

Nothing happens by chance. There is a cause for everything. Each problem is a way to your progress. You should keep yourself balanced under all circumstances of gain or loss, success or failure and respect or disrespect. Nothing is as important as your reaction to it. The world is neither good nor bad; it depends on how you look at it. Whatever is inside you appears outside too. Analyse yourself and speak less and to the point, which protects your mental energy.

According to the law of attraction, whatever you doubt or are afraid of is attracted towards you. Be sure there is nothing in this world which you are scared of. Whatever you are scared of, face them squarely with the belief that nothing can harm you; face them till the fear for them is eradicated completely. A real mishappening is never so fearful as the thought or imagination about it. The psychology of such things affects only the weaker minds.

One should not have the thought of comparison since none is either better or worse than you; all souls are created equal. On awakening the dormant energies within by achieving oneness with the Lord, one can share the infinite energies of the Lord. As soon as your level of consciousness rises up, the hold of destiny on you loosens. This is why spiritual people are not afraid of fate or destiny. Situations of the world no longer affect them.

No One is Busy

An elderly man in Mumbai calls his son in New York and says,
‘I hate to ruin your day son, but I have to tell you that your mother and I are getting a divorce; 35 years of marriage… and that much misery is enough!’
‘Dad, what are you talking about?’ the son screams.
‘We can’t stand the sight of each other any longer,’ the old man says.
‘We’re sick of each other, and I’m sick of talking about this, so you call your sister in Hong Kong and tell her!’
Frantic, the son calls his sister, who explodes on the phone.
‘Like heck they’re getting divorced,’ she shouts, ‘I’ll take care of this.’
She calls Mumbai immediately, and screams at the old man, ‘You are not getting divorced. Don’t do a single thing until I get there. I’m calling my brother back, and we’ll both be there tomorrow. Until then , don’t do a thing, DO YOU HEAR??’ and she hangs up.
The old man hangs up his phone and turns to his wife. ‘Okay’, he says, ‘It’s all set. They’re both coming for our anniversary and paying their own airfare!!’

Moral : No person is busy in this world. Only priorities matters. So make choice of your priority wisely i.e. by choosing happiness.

Attitude Matters

Please read carefully and relate with our life….you may enjoy more… That is attitude

1) Heavy rains remind us of challenges in life. Never ask for a lighter rain. Just pray for a better umbrella. That is attitude.

2) When flood comes, fish eat 😎ants & when flood recedes, ants eat fish.Only time matters. Just hold on, God gives opportunity to everyone!

3) Life is not about finding the right person, but creating the right relationship, it’s not how we care in the beginning, but how much we care till ending.

4) Some people always throw stones in your path. It depends on you what you make with them, Wall or Bridge? Remember you are the architect of your life.

5) Every problem has (n+1) solutions, where n is the number of solutions that you have tried and 1 is that you have not tried. That’s life.

8) When you feel sad, to cheer up just go to the mirror and say, `Damn I am really so cute` and you will overcome your sadness. But don’t make this a habit coz liars go to hell.

10) Only two types of persons are happy in this world. First is Mad and second is Child. Be Mad to achieve what you desire and be a Child to enjoy what you have achieved.

A wonderful short story :: HOW CAN WE BE HAPPY ?

Once a group of 50 people was attending a seminar.
Suddenly the speaker stopped and decided to do a group activity. He started giving each one a balloon. Each one was asked to write his/her name on it using a marker pen. Then all the balloons were collected and put in another room.

Now these delegates were let in that room and asked to find the balloon which had their name written, within 5 minutes. Everyone was frantically searching for their name, colliding with each other, pushing around others and there was utter chaos.

At the end of 5 minutes no one could find their own balloon.
Now each one was asked to randomly collect a balloon and give it to the person whose name was written on it.
Within minutes everyone had their own balloon.

The speaker began— exactly this is happening in our lives. Everyone is frantically looking for happiness all around, not knowing where it is.

Our happiness lies in the happiness of other people. Give them their happiness; you will get your own happiness.
And this is the purpose of human life.

Is this not what you are looking for?

Happiness

Lunch With God

A little boy wanted to meet God. He packed his suitcase with two sets of his dress and some packets of Cakes and he stared his journey. He walked a long and felt tired.
So he sat in a park on the way and opened a packet to take a cake to eat. Then he noticed an old woman sitting sad with hunger nearby, so he offered her a piece of cake.
She gratefully accepted it with a wide look and smiled at him. Her smile was so pretty that the boy longed to see it again. After some time he offered her another piece of cake. Again, she accepted it and smiled at him.
The boy was delighted! They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but they never said a word.
While it grew dark, the boy was frightened and he up got to leave but before he had gone more than a few steps, he ran back and gave her a hug and she kissed him with her prettiest smile.
When the boy opened the door, his mother was surprised by the look of joy on his face. She asked him, “What did you do today that made you look so happy?”
He replied,” I had lunch with God.”
Before, his mother could respond, he added, “You know what? She’s got the most beautiful smile I’ve ever seen in my life!”
Meanwhile, the old woman, also radiant with joy, returned to her home. Her son was stunned by the look of peace on her face and asked, “Mom, what did you do today that made you so happy?
“She replied, “I ate cakes in the park with God.” Before his son responded, she added,”You know, he’s much younger than I expected.”
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile,a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
Remember, nobody knows how God will look like. People come into our lives for a reason, for a season, or for a lifetime. Accept all of them equally! AND LET THEM SEE GOD IN YOU!!!!!
